Holy Trinity of Supercars

The naming "Holy Trinity" comes from the video, shared by Chris Harris, when he tested these three cars at the same time"
In 2013 Porsche 918 Spyder, Ferrari LaFerrari and Mclaren P1 were started to be produced. However, you should know that, these kind of cars can not be revealed in a blink. Supercars always need quite long R&D procedure.
That means, these cars were developed in the same time, unaware of each other.
Also;
  • Porsche is the heaviest, because it is AWD and it has "Four wheel steering".
  • Ferrari and the Porsche has KERS, which allows them to brake regenerative, that's why the Mclaren is the lightest one.
  • Porsche and Ferrari has naturally aspirated combustion engines, while the Mclaren has Twinturbocharged.
  • Mclaren only charges the battery using surplus power from the combustion engine, or it can be charged in 2 hours on a standard charge, or 10 minutes on a fast charge.
To understand how they feel, I examined tests of these cars and especially the video, Chris Harris tested them all and I will share, what testers think about their driving experiences.

Porsche 918 Spyder (Lap time: 1.53.98) (Winner of the Drag Race and Nordschleife)
  • It has the most corrupted driving experience. Although, it has the most traction. (This is probably because of it is the only AWD one among them)
  • Feels heavy. However I can not believe, that a car heavy like this, is capable of performing this performance. This is pure engineering.
  • Four wheel steering, torque vectoring. These systems are like cheating.
  • It feels most electronically assisted. Because of this, Harris says that, he would eliminate the Porsche out of three.
Ferrari LaFerrari (Lap time: 1.54.25)
  • "Beautiful Red Thing"
  • Voice comes from the engine and steering feelings are epic.
  • It feels the most powerful on the straight line. (This has been disproved, it's the 918)
  • Chasis balance is epic. Most balanced drift experience among three.
  • "A truely memorable thing"
  • Steering feels lighter than others.
  • Harris says that, it has the fastest shifts and best brake feeling, and that these factors along with the cars insane power, contribute to it being the most exciting to drive.
McLaren P1 (Lap time: 1.53.57)
  • It feels the most conventional car, even more than 918.
  • It feels the most nimble and small.
  • The car has more power than grip and is like driving an old style racing car, but the numbers are much bigger and the consequences are far worse if you make a mistake.
  • Steering feels between Ferrari and Porsche.
  • You can feel the downforce. (That huge spoiler is not meaningless)
  • I got none of the resistance from the front axle.
  • It is difficult to turn in, but it feels alive. Really Alive!
  • "I want to do that for eternity" Harris says that, it's the one he'd pick among three.
In Conclusion;
They are actually quite beautiful hypercars of this era, anyone can love one of them and most importantly they have their own personalities and characteristics. In summary;
  • 918 Spyder is the most technologic and balanced.
  • LaFerrari is the most aggresive and enjoying.
  • P1 is the most mechanic and alive.
Each serves different driving experiences and pleasures. However, I am not a professional driver, so I need that electronic assist. Porsche is the winner of Nordschleife, does not tire the driver compared to others, has regenerative braking, so the driver is not addicted to plug-in electricity... I would take the beautiful silver thing :)
Comment, which one would you take?
